The Hirschvogel Foundation has announced that Dr Constantin Böhm will receive the Manfred Hirschvogel Prize for his dissertation written at the MPA. The prize is awarded annually at all TU9 universities for the best dissertation of the past year at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and is endowed with 5000€.
In his dissertation "Entwicklung einer Gefügekarte für Laserschweißnähte aus Aluminiumlegierungen" Dr. Constantin Böhm investigated the influence of process and alloy variables on the resulting microstructures during laser beam welding of aluminium alloys.
The prize will be awarded to Dr Böhm on 14.07.2023 as part of the Master's certificate presentation ceremony.
